Boots Awards a Massive 50 Million Advantage Card Points for Recycling Old Mobile Phones

Published by Stephen Roper on Tagged Boots Mobile Recycling

Boots recently announced that they have given out just under 50 million Advantage Card Points to their customers through their successful Boots Mobile Recycling campaign.

The Boots Recycle site was launched in 2008 in partnership with mobile recycling leader, Redeem plc. It offers customers the chance to return their old mobiles in return for up to 5000 Advantage Card Points which can then be spent in Boots stores.

The Boots mobile recycling scheme is not only extremely popular with Boots customers but also has raised over £60,000 for two charities; Breast Cancer Care and The Eve Appeal. For every old handset that is sent in not only will Advantage Points be awarded but £1 will be collected for charities with an additional 28% being generated by Gift Aid.

The Boots Advantage Card was launched over 11 years ago and has just under 17 million card holders in the UK. Since launching around 120 million points have been awarded to Boots customers.
