Earth Mobile Ltd are one of the newest mobile recycling companies on the web but are fast becoming one of the most popular due to the high rates they pay for old mobile phones. As well as recycling many different makes of mobile phones they also offer the highest rates for Blackberry handsets in comparison to their competitors.
How it Works:
- Choose your handset from their extensive list of phones on the Earth Mobile home page. If you are happy with the price offered then click the add handset to basket button. You can add as many handsets as you like to your basket before proceeding to the checkout.
- Once you have added your handset(s) select the review sale button which will take you to the checkout page. You must then enter the mobile IMEI number. The IMEI can be found underneath the battery or by entering the code *#06# on the phones main screen on your phone.
- On the next screen you must register your details and accept the terms and conditions. Registering will also allow you to login and check your phones progress at any time after you have sent it in. After registering your order will be confirmed via e-mail and you will be sent the freepost address or you can request a freepost envelope. If your old mobile is of a higher value then recorded or special delivery is recommended. If you are sending quite a few phones you can request a free courier service to be sent out to pick them up.
- Once Earth Mobile has received your old phone it will be processed and payment will be sent via cheque with 7 days.

Where Does My old Phone End Up?
Earth Mobile works closely with their partners to ensure that the least amount of waste occurs when recycling your old mobile. They do this by dividing the phones they receive into three categories. Phones that can be re-used will be refurbished and sent abroad to developing countries so people there can afford to buy a mobile phone. Other Handsets will be broken down for parts and recycled into the production of new phones. Any other parts that cannot be salvaged will be sent off for safe disposal in line with current legislation included in the WEE Directive.
