LG Arena smartphoneLG Electronics have recently published a stand alone environmental report separate to its Sustainability report to ensure the subject matter gets more attention.

The 2009 environmental report features comments from LG’s vice president and CEO, Yong Nam who states that LG management and employees will stand united in carrying out activities to reduce waste during the manufacturing and product development process. He goes on further to say that LG will be a leader in achieving sustainable growth and creating a green future.

The 70 page publication is arranged into four sections where LG will focus on which include, Green Management, Green Products Strategy, Green Manufacturing and Green Communication. The report will be published once a year where related data will be analysed based on the previous years performance.

LG first made a commitment to the environment 15 years ago in 1994 with its Cleaner Environment campaign. Since then the slogan has changed to Life’s Good this year as they announced their goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
