Mobile Phone Recycling Companies Expand as More Phones are Being Recycled

Mazuma mobile has appointed five new test engineers to deal with the increase. Mazuma has said that volumes have already started to increase with them receiving over 25,000 phones per week. Mazuma Boss Charlo Carabott said Mazuma paid out £2.7 Million to their customers in May 2009 and is well on target to pay out over £3.2 Million in June. Also the expansion work they are doing on their Warehouse to deal with the increase is near completion.
GS UK, a division of Genuine Solution, is also recruiting four new members for its accessories recycling management team. GS UK are also considering expansion overseas.
Elsewhere, recycling company Mopay has recently teamed up with M&S to offer their customers higher prices for their old handsets. If a phone is recycled at Mopay after 22nd June then the customer can receive up to 7% more than the standard cash prise if selecting M&S vouchers.
