Mobile Phone Recycling Set to Rise Due to Amount of Smartphones Being Bought

According to HTC’s Executive Director, Jon French the amount of mobile phones that will be recycled in 2011 will rise significantly due to many more smartphones being purchased.

Many more people are expected to buy smartphones this year including people not normally associated with this type of device such as grandparents.

More people buying smartphones is likely to lead to more standard mobiles being recycled as people try to earn extra cash to help pay for their new purchase.

Mr French said that to help more people buy smartphones the mobile industry has to talk in more simple terms.
