Mobile Recycling Company Wins Small Business of the Year Award

Redeem Plc, have recently been won the award for the UK small business of the year.

Redeem, based in Scotland were presented with the award by Prince Charles at Business in the Community’s annual award ceremony held in London. The award was open to small and medium sized independent businesses in the UK with less than 250 employees and was given for their impact on society.

Redeem began operations in 1999 working out of a barn recycling old mobile phones and inkjet cartridges. Since then Redeem has been awarded multi million pound contracts by major UK shops and retailers to recycle consumer goods in return for rewards. They also have partnerships with over 200 charities. Money4urMobile are also part of Redeem, they offer mobile phone, iPod and inkjet recycling in return for cash payments.

Redeem currently employ 70 staff who run the business located in the UK, Ireland, Turkey and Italy. They have also recently opened a new office in Hong Kong.
