Many people in the UK are expected to recycle their old handsets in January in order to buy handsets with the latest Windows 7 operating system installed.

The second batch of Windows 7 handsets will be launched in February which will give people with old handsets plenty of time to recycle them for cash.

The new upgraded Windows 7 mobiles are going to be shown at the Mobile World Congress. Acer’s E600 is likely to be most popular, but also in the new range includes the LG Optimus 7 and the HTC Mozart.

Windows 7 is a great mobile operating system but sales have been much lower than expected, its hoped that the upgraded range of handsets will prove to be more popular.
