Orange Launch Tiny Top Ups

UK mobile phone network, Orange has recently announced that they have launched their new 10p tiny top ups service for pay as you go customers.

The new tiny top up service will allow pay as you go customers to top up with as little as 10p. The service is designed to tap into the youth market and anyone who has little cash left following the poor economy.

Research supporting the new service has found that one in four 18-24 year old’s carry less than £1 in change in their pockets and one in four people in the UK wait for pay day each month before topping up their mobile phone.

The research also discovered that running out of credit had stopped people from getting a job, meeting friends or from starting a new relationship.

VP of propositions at Orange, Pippa Dunn  said “The new service make it easier for Orange pay as you go customers to top up using their loose change. With many people managing their personal finances more closely than ever, Tiny Top Ups will help people who are watching their pennies to stay in touch.’

To mark the launch of Tiny Top Ups, Orange will double any top ups made in retail stores in the month of March.
