ShP Limited Brings Mobile Recycling to the Middle East

ShP Limited, owners of one of the leading UK mobile recycling sites, Mopay has recently announced that they will be partnering with Middle East electronic retailer Emax to bring mobile recycling to the area for the first time.

The multi million pound deal will allow mobile users to hand in their old mobile phones at Emax electronic store in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the UAE and Oman. All phones that are collected will then be recycled by ShP Limited. Any handsets that are working will be refurbished and sent too developing countries, non working handsets will be recycled under the WEEE directive.#

Co-founder of Mopay, Simon Walsh said “Our expansion into the Middle East shows that there is a great demand for global mobile recycling and as the UK’s first mobile phone recycling company we are in a great position to roll out our tried and tested business model worldwide.”

ShP plan to recycle at least 3 million mobile phones in the Middle East within the next 3 years, this amount of mobile recycling will greatly help to assist with communication in developing countries and massively cut down on electronic waste.
